Kia ora whanau,

Wasn’t last night fantastic? Our school production “A Blast to the Past” was the culmination of all of term three’s hard work. Many hours of practising performance routines and creating costumes came together in this exciting event.  The range of learning for our kura leading up to and during this event is broad.  It is wonderful to see so many of our tamariki step up and shine through artistic expression.  Many of our values came to the fore too; Rekareka, Whakawhanaungatanga and as our finale demonstrated Wairua is so important when you are putting yourself out there. Nga mihi to you all for your support and help over the term and especially last night. Bring on the next production. Here are some of our favourite shots that Nick took. You may have seen the the note that went out on schoolstream earlier today regarding the purchasing of the production DVD.

In addition we would like to thank the Mainland Foundation  for providing funding so that we in turn could provide families with free tickets.  We received a very generous grant from them.

We have also been fortunate enough to receive a $5000.oo Kiwi Sport grant from Sport Manawatu which will fund our Athletics. The  whole school  will benefit from specialist  coaching and extra equipment.

Please remember to register for  Summer Sport as soon as possible.

School photos are on Wednesday the 25th. Many thanks to Graeme Brown . We are looking forward to seeing everyone looking smart.

Nick is officially on Sabbatical from next Monday. Please see Troy or Mel with enquiries.

School finishes at 3pm. on the 27th of September. School commences on the 14 th of October at 8.55 am.

Finally have a wonderful weekend with your whanau.

Nga mihi,
