Kia ora whānau,

Another weekend of beautiful weather! I know I enjoyed the sun while watching cricket on Saturday.

Finn is carefully making sure all the toys are put away.

This week during play we have been focusing on the value kawenga. We have been learning about our responsibility to look after our school and the environment that we all live in. We will keep practising our learning about kawenga this week.

For us in Tekau we have been practising:

  • looking after our own things by backing our bags by ourselves
  • looking after our classroom by playing carefully and putting things away where they go. We make sure the pen lids ‘click’!
  • looking after our school by picking up rubbish (even when it is not our rubbish).

Paper goes in the green bin!

Thank you for picking up the scraps Alexis!
