Kia ora Whānau,

Yesterday we had our Athletics Prizegiving where we acknowledged our first place getters in each of the 8 events that we had. Congratulations to everyone that gave it their all and showed lots of Wairua (Spirit and Determination) and were striving for Panekiretanga (Excellence)

Each year we award two special trophies to acknowledge our top Senior Boy and top Senior Girl athletes. It works on a place based system where each child gets 3 points for coming first in an event, 2 points for coming second and 1 point for coming third. This year our winners were Riza Hassan and Josh Pearson.

Our House Relay was won by Kea, closely second was Kererū, in third was Tui and Kiwi rounded out the field. The House Points was really close and only a couple of points separating second to fourth, but the house with the best looking teachers were triumphant on the day…
4th place: Tui with 143 points
3rd place: Kea with 146 points
2nd place: Kiwi with 149 points
1st place: Kererū with 166 points

Here is a list of all the first three placings for each event.

Thanks to all the parents who came out and supported on the day, it was great to have you out at the Massey Track cheer our tamariki on.
