Kia ora whānau mā,
What a wonderful first week back we have had! Our tamariki have certainly shown us how resilient they are in returning back to a kura that looks quite different to what they had left 2 months ago. That is a huge credit to the mahi you put into them during lockdown, so thank you all very much.
A massive thank you to those whānau who have continued to support their tamariki by allowing them to bring their devices to school. It has made it so much easier for the children to access their mahi without having to share the school iPads / laptops.
In regards to our learning at the moment and the approach we are taking, there have been some slight changes. As there was so much success with the remote learning, we have decided to continue using the Seesaw activities as a platform for some tasks. As this includes tasks that may have been done with the teacher, we will not necessarily be commenting on all of those posts as the feedback and feed forward would have been provided during learning time. This will continue to be a way for you to enjoy your tamariki’s mahi from home.
As a school, we have decided to go ahead with Cross Country later on this term. So starting next week (Monday, 25 May) we will be training as a whānau twice throughout the week. We have scheduled it in for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, however this is subject to change.
If you have questions, feel free to email Rosie or Eileen.
Kia pai ōu koutou mutungā o te wiki (Have a great weekend)!
