REMINDER: SCHOOL CLOSED NEXT MONDAY 9TH MARCH

Ata mārie Pounamu whānau,

Happy 1st Day of March! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend and soaking up the good weather when it decides to appear. I’m loving these clear and warm evenings.

Te Kupu O Te Wiki: Te Rā – The Sun, e.g. Te Rā has been out in force this week!

I don’t have any specific pānui for Wiki 6 so it’s a short note from me this week. I do want to take this opportunity though to share with you how proud I am of your (our!) tamariki. We have a beautiful little whānau in Pounamu and the kids are settling in to our routines really well. Literacy, Swimming, and Kapa Haka have been huge highlights so far.

We had our first go at The Odd One Out Challenge this week which is a fun maths task that develops our mathematical reasoning and ability to communicate our opinions in a group. Check out Seesaw for our responses and share which one you think is the odd one out. Any answer can be correct, as long as you say why...

Keep packing those togs as we are swimming Monday, Wednesday and Friday as per usual. Finally, Good Luck to the RSS Rooks which are our Year 1/2 Hockey team – a few Pounamu superstars have joined up this wiki and Monday will be their first game. Have heaps of fun!

Hei te Rāhina,

Lucy
