Kia ora whānau, an offical welcome back to Term 2. As always it is fantastic to see all our families back into the swing of school life after the break. A big warm welcome to all our new families and students – it is great to have you with us. We always look forward to working together as a team so each student has the very best time at Russell Street School.
We send a big congratulations out to Ebony, Shaun and Kenzie as they welcomed Evie into their family. Evie was born on Saturday morning and everyone is doing well. We can’t wait to meet Evie!
We are very excited to welcome Carolyn into 2meke Monday-Thursday. We are just in the process of finalising the placement of the ‘Friday’ teacher and will let you all know as soon as this is confirmed. Thank you for your patience. We know that 2meke will absolutely enjoy having Carolyn join them on their learning journey, picking up where Ebony has left off.
It is also New Zealand Sign Language Week – I know that BGR8 learned some sign last term so I am sure this week will be of interest to them as it is to all of us.
There were a lot of notifications sent out last week from individual classes, teams and the office. Key things to look out for on School Stream from last week;
- Term 2 classroom newsletters
- Pie Orders
- Morning Maths Busters
- Papatūānuku Play Afternoon communication
- Te iti Rearea Hui and Pot Luck Dinner
- Ranginui and Papatūānuku Team Newsletter
- Let’s Get Reading communication
- Kelly Sport Tuesday after school
Have a wonderful week everyone!
