Kia ora whānau,

Today our Papatūānuku team celebrated the fantastic year we have had by having lots of fun together!

We were in mixed aged groups to hang out with our teina and tuakana. The day started off with fun rotations which included ‘Dribble, Dribble, Drench’, ‘RSS Ninja Warrior’, art, sandpit creating and sports.

In the middle block of our day engaged in group relays. We danced off our costumes in a dress up relay, balanced mandarins for ‘Egg and Spoon Race’, and got wet during a water relay. It was then time for an ice cream or juicy! Soon after we got a surprise visitor…. Santa!!!

After lunch we had another surprise visitor. Teachers explained to Constable Kahu that our Esplanade Trip was cancelled due to the weather forecast, so he decided to come visit on his day off with a police car to help bring fun and excitement.

Watch below to see some photos of the day..

Thank you parents for always supporting us at RSS. We have such awesome, fun and keen learners at RSS and we are thankful to have such a supportive community!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Ngā mihi
