Kia Ora e te Whānau,
Te Pae Tamariki 2018, is a kapa haka festival for primary and intermediate schools in our region. That celebrates our vibrant youth through traditional song, rhythm and rhyme and pays homage to indigenous ancestors of Aotearoa.
This term, Pae Tamariki will be on Thursday 14th and Friday 15 June 2018 at the Regent on Broadway. Our Teina Kapa Haka group will be performing on Friday 15 June at 1.20pm – 1.40pm and the Tuakana Kapa Haka group will be performing on the same day on Friday 15 June at 2.20 – 2.40pm! It is a gold coin donation for entry. We would love to see you there cheering us on.
Both the Teina and Tuakana Kapa Haka groups will have about 90 students in total (numbers need to be confirmed) attending this event so we will need 12 extra adults to accompany us! We will get prepared to go from 12pm and will be departing RSS at 12.45pm and will be picked up at the Regent at 2.50pm to return to school.
