Kia Ora Whānau mā,

I hope you’ve all been enjoying the gentle drizzle of rain that’s out and about today. I know I am and I’m sure the grass, the plants and the animals are enjoying it too! Anyway, as you can tell it’s obviously my turn to keep you up-dated about what’s happening at RSS!

Update Number One: RSS Marae experience

Ever since 2010 RSS has made it a priority for our tamariki and staff to build their knowledge and confidence of Māori culture through an authentic Marae experience every 2 years. This term, we wish to continue that tradition by returning to Te Ahu A Turanga in Woodville. So this year, each whānau group will be responsible for designing their own Marae experiences. The whānau groups look like this:

  • Rooms 3, 4, 5 and 1  (Week 6 – 7th March) Day trip only
    Rooms 12, 13 and 14 (Week 8 – 18th March and 19th March) Overnight trip
    Rooms 8, 9 and 10 (Week 8 – Arrive 19th March) Day trip only
    Rooms 6 and 7 (Week 10 – 1st April and 2nd April) Overnight trip
