Kia ora Pīwakawaka whānau,
There is a lot going on at kura and we have a busy second half of term coming up. I just wanted to send out a message to keep you in the loop about a couple of things:
The whole of Papatūānuku has an amazing opportunity to visit Mt Biggs school in Feilding. As this is out of Palmerston North, we require written permission for your child to come with us on the pahi (buses). Permission slips were sent home in book bags today, so please dig it out and return it to me as soon as possible (tomorrow is great!). I’ve attached a pikitia of the slip to this post so that you know what you’re looking for! Also, if you’re able to offer parent help please indicate this on the form and we’ll be in touch!
All money for the Whittaker’s Chocolate Fundraiser is due TOMORROW, Friday August 24th. If you haven’t already returned your pūtea (money) to the office, this is me gently encouraging you to do that before or after school tomorrow. We’ve had wonderful support with this fundraiser – thank you!
On another note, we had a really lovely visit to Willard Home this afternoon. The residents just loved listening to us read and sing waiata and I was proud of the way the kids managed themselves.
Kia pai tō pō, hei te ata,
(Enjoy your evening and I’ll see you in the morning),
