Kia ora koutou!

I hope everyone has had a great week! I was fortunate to be able to watch the RICOH sports tournament today, where I saw everyone who participated playing with such pride and sportsmanship/sportswomanship.  No doubt there will be some tired children at home this evening!

I thought I would touch base as there are many events happening next week, so here is an overview of what is happening, as well as a few additional notes on each.

Foxton Beach Trip

Not long to go until our awesome trip out to Foxton Beach! Here’s hoping the weather plays its part and stays fine, as it has been looking a bit iffy for Tuesday.  Samantha and I will get together and make the call on Sunday and notify you here on School Stream as to if we decide to go. We are just conscious of the amount of sickness that has been going around…a day in the cold and drizzle won’t help!

We are still looking for one more parent to come on the trip with us.  It will be an awesome day out! Please could you email me if you could come along,

For our trip on Tuesday, we are wanting to have some scooters and helmets to take with us. There is an awesome looking new scooter park there so we want to take advantage of it. If your whānau has a scooter and helmet that you don’t mind being shared with others for the day, can you please email me.  They will be staying in the bus when we aren’t on the scooter park. We need about 10 altogether (for both parts of The Hive).

Ross Intermediate Trip

Another outing on the go next week is to Ross Intermediate.  This is scheduled on Friday (21st September), where we will have the opportunity to watch one of their performances from their DanceNZmade entries. The performance is based around a turtle and the impact of plastic on their lives. We will be walking to Ross (from about 11am) and need a couple of parent helpers to help us walk. We will be back by 1pm at the latest. If you are free could you please email me!

Assembly Next Week

Excitingly, our block, Purapura Whetu, are on assembly on Wednesday 19th September from 2.20-3pm. We would love it if you had time to come and watch.  The choir will also be performing, a real treat!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  Safe travels to those heading out of town.

Ngā mihi,
