Ahiahi mārie (good afternoon) Room 4 whānau,
What an awesome first day of 2019 it has been! We’ve had a great time making connections with each other & starting the settling in process. It’s quite a transition from ‘holiday mode’ back into ‘school mode’ and I’m very proud of how the kids handled this today.
Below are some admin notes for you, now that our timetable is a little more set:
- Our Library time slot is every Thursday. We will start visits this week!
- Swimming days for us are: Monday, Thursday, and Friday. We’re unsure if the pool will be chemically balanced in time for our Thursday session this week, but bring togs just in case. Hopefully it will be good to go by Friday at the latest.
- Every Wednesday (starting tomorrow) I am on Classroom Release from 9am-12pm. During this time I will be working with children on a more one-on-one basis, while the lovely Samantha takes our class. Samantha is a beautiful teacher here at RSS who many of the kids already know and love. We are very lucky to have her as part of our Room 4 whānau!
That’s it from me for now! I’m really looking forward to working with all of you over the coming year. I can already tell we’ve got a fab bunch of kids and we’re in for a fun year together.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions or queries – and my door is always open!
