We will be joining our fellow New Zealanders to support the victims of the Christchurch tragedy with the nationwide “Colour your Day”. This is taking place tomorrow Friday, 22 March and is recognised by everyone dressing in bright colours (it’s been suggested that red is not appropriate).

We encourage families who want to financially support this cause to make donations directly into the bank account shown in the image below. Alternatively there will be a collection at school for students who bring money which we will then donate on your behalf.

Please CLICK HERE for further information on this nation-wide initiative.

We will also be coming together and linking arms and observing 2 minutes silence at 1:45pm. This will involve referring to what happened in Christchurch last week. It will not focus on the details, it will be a message of support, empathy and love to the families of the victims and the people of Christchurch.

#we grieve #together we are one #they are us

You can also support our local Muslim community through lining the streets around the Manawatū Muslim Association on Cook St from 1pm. More information on that here.
