This morning was our first Walking Wednesday and we had about 60 children involved! It was great to see everyone brave the wet and cold and walk to school. We will be running this every Wednesday for the remainder of the year. We would love to see your child/ren involved next time.

They collect one of our cool cards when they walk to school and keep it somewhere safe (like their book bag or school bag pocket, but not at school) so that they can get it clicked every Wednesday that they walk to school. Once they get 5 clicks on their card, they will put it in our prize box and we will be drawing out lucky individuals at our assembly or school singing afternoons

Our wonderful teachers are all involved too, you might have spotted us out with our Hi-Vis Vests ferrying children along Russell Street. It is a great way to build Whakawhanaungatanga, have some quality yarns on the way to school (mine were about have I broken any bones and can I do any of the Fortnite dances?) and embracing that beautiful vibe or Wairua that our community has.

See you next Wednesday on the corner of Russell Street and Featherston Street or wait for the nearest ‘bus’ on the corner of any of our side streets. (Stanley, Florence, St Johns, Titoki or Rongopai)
