Kia ora whānau,

Just a quick pānui (notice) about SchoolStream. It is great to see that so many of you have installed the new update, if you haven’t, check your app store. You may have been prompted to create an account using Facebook or Gmail too, which is a great idea as it informs us of who in our community are connected and receiving our messages. It will also later enable us to setup parent groups for classes, sports teams etc to get specific messages to you more easily.

In the new update, you may have realised that by default you have got all of the groups switched back on. If you would like to unsubscribe from certain classes due to your child not being in that class, click on where it says Russell St down the bottom left hand corner and swipe left (haha) on the classes that you no longer want to receive and hit the green notifications button which should turn grey and now they will be switched off .

To give you some scope on each of the other categories and what is in them:
Alerts: Urgent Messages. e.g. School Closure
Events: This should link to our School Calendar and will have all the upcoming events a few weeks in advance (we realise at the moment that this is not showing correctly and SS are working to fix this for us.
Forms: This contains any correspondence that you will need to give us. e.g. Digital Citizenship Agreement, Learning outside the classroom or reporting an absentee.
From the Community: Messages from the Supporters Club
From the Office: Messages from Ag and Rachelle
Leadership Pānui: Messages from Nick, Troy, Mel, Rosie, Kelly or Nic
Papatūānuku: Messages for parents of students in the Junior Team (Year 0-2)
Ranginui: Messages for parents of students in the Senior Team (Year 3-6)
Sport: Messages from the Sports Team about signing up for sporting codes on offer dependent on the time.

If you have any questions about SchoolStream, please come and see Troy or Nick as we’d love to help you get connected.
