Kia ora Koutou,

Ruby Mainwaring was a student who attended RSS from 2010-2017 and is now at PNINS. Earlier in the term, she won the Manawatū Science Fair Technology prize for her ‘Get-a-Grip’ a product she designed to help assist people like her Poppa with muscle wastage and arthritis in his hand to open jars easier, as he has tried so many things on the market which don’t help.
Ruby was then asked to pitch her idea to Innovate 2018, a programme designed to help get small businesses off the ground. She got through to the top 20 (from 91 entries) and last week had to pitch her idea in a ‘shark tank’ style scenario to 45 business mentors and she blew them away! They announced the top 6 on More FM last Friday and she made it through! So now she has a 10 week mentor programme run by BCC heading towards the finals night at the Convention Centre on 29th November.
She needs your help please!
Her ‘homework’ is market research and customer segmentation. Yesterday she came and presented to the RSS staff at morning tea and did an amazing pitch for her product and now she needs to gather some market research to share with her mentors. If you could take a minute to help her, she would really appreciate you taking her survey.
Ngā Manaakitanga,
Troy
