Wow, Week 6 was exciting! It was wonderful seeing all of our Ranginui team in action at the Lido Aquatic Centre on Wednesday. Not only did our children showcase their swimming skills but they also our Ngā Uaratanga (values) were magnificently on display. It was absolutely heart warming to see children cheering each other on, congratulating each other on their success and encouraging each other. It was a very successful day with the new additions of the team showcases and width races. Thank you to all of you who came along to support the children – it was wonderful to see so many of you there. Good luck to those students who are now off to Northern Cluster.
On Thursday night we had the pleasure of hearing Wendy Fraser present to us about anxiety. It was a very informative evening and we would like to thank Wendy for taking the time out of her schedule to do this for us. If you are interested in finding out more about presentations on anxiety please come and see Mel.
This week sees our Year 5 and 6 students off to El Rancho in Waikanae for camp. We know they are going to have a fabulous time down there learning and growing. We hope the weather holds for them and look forward to seeing them back at school on Friday. Have fun!
Also, don’t forget Morning Maths Busters in on every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30-8:55 am in Tekau (R10). We would love to see you there and parents/grandparents are so welcome.
Ngā mihi, Mel
